Description
We’re looking for a Director to lead our financial services and technology communications work in Singapore. You’ve spent around 10 years in the business, ideally a good chunk of it agency-side, and you know these sectors properly — not just how to write about them, but how they work and who moves them.
This is a senior client leadership role spanning two demanding sectors. On the financial services side, that means banking, asset and wealth management, insurance, fintech, payments and capital markets. On the technology side, cybersecurity and enterprise tech. You’ll set the strategy across a portfolio of these accounts, lead the counsel, and make sure the work actually lands.
This is integrated work, not just media relations. Earned sits at the centre of what we do, but you’ll be pulling content, creative, digital, social and insights into campaigns and giving each channel a clear job to do. Working across those teams and holding the whole thing together is a real part of the role.
You’ll also help grow the practice — spotting opportunities inside existing accounts, leading and supporting pitches, and building the relationships that bring new work in. And you’ll be expected to know your numbers: budgets, scopes, forecasting and profitability across your accounts.
The team side matters just as much. You’ll manage and coach a group of consultants and executives, plan who works on what, and help them get better at sectors that take real time to learn.
Most importantly, we want someone who takes pride in their work and in their people — because “good enough” isn’t how we roll.
You will be someone who is ...
- Genuinely fluent in financial services, enterprise technology or cybersecurity — ideally more than one of them
- A strong writer who makes technical material clear without dumbing it down
- Comfortable building integrated campaigns across earned, content, digital, creative, and social
- Steady on issues and crisis, and calm when a client is under pressure
- Commercially aware — budgets, scopes, forecasting, and profitability are part of your job, not finance’s
- A good manager who develops people rather than just allocating work
- Well-connected across mainstream, business, and trade media in Singapore and the region
- Organised under pressure — you juggle several accounts and deadlines without dropping any of them
- Around 10 years in PR or integrated communications, ideally a good portion of it in an agency
- Strong expertise across financial services, enterprise technology, and/or cybersecurity
- A track record in media relations, senior client counsel, and issues management
- Experience developing integrated strategies across earned, content, digital, creative, and social
- A sound understanding of financial services regulation, and experience working with legal, compliance, and risk teams
- Strong strategic planning, proposal, and pitch development skills
- Team leadership, mentoring, resource planning, and commercial management experience
- 20 days of annual leave
- 4 days of mental health leave annually (no questions asked)
- FINN-ishing early once a month to rest, relax, and recharge
- Flexible working arrangements (in terms of hours, locations, and outfits)
- A competitive salary and benefits package
- A well-stocked pantry
- Lots of fun, laughter, and love
