Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator is mainly responsible for coordinating the day-to-day implementation of the Multi-Dx project activities in implementation site/s to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with project objectives. S/he will primarily support the sites (RHUs) in offering integrated screening and diagnostic bundles for TB, HIV, Hepatitis B, and HPV, recording and reporting of client information, and providing pre- and post-test counselling. The Project Coordinator also facilitates communication and advocacy in different settings including community outreach activities.
The position requires strong technical grounding in public health and development, excellent coordination and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple activities while ensuring alignment with regional and local priorities.
Program Implementation and Coordination
- Lead the implementation of Jhpiego-supported initiatives under the Multi-Dx Project in Bicol, ensuring activities are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with approved workplans and budgets.
- Coordinate closely with DOH regional office/s, LGUs, and other regional and local partners to support the Multi-Dx Project-related planning, implementation, and review activities.
- Serve as Jhpiego’s primary technical focal point for Bicol-based partners and stakeholders for Viral Hepatitis, HIV, TB, and HPV programs
Technical Guidance and Program Support
- Provide technical guidance and support to RHU implementing sites in offering an integrated screening and diagnostic bundle for TB, HIV, Hepatitis B, and HPV following the project’s proposed framework
- Support the RHU implementing sites in recording and reporting client information necessary for screening and testing processes
- Lead the advocacy for integrated screening and diagnostic bundle offerings during community outreach activities
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
- Conduct regular monitoring visits and coordination meetings to track program progress and identify implementation challenges and best practices.
- Contribute to evaluations, learning activities, and documentation of lessons learned and good practices.
Planning, Reporting, and Documentation
- Support the development of annual and periodic workplans, activity plans, and budgets in coordination with Jhpiego technical and operations teams.
- Support the development of high-quality technical and narrative reports for internal use and for submission to donors and partners.
- Contribute to the development of concept notes, proposals, and other technical documents to support program growth and expansion.
Required Qualifications
Education and Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Medical Technology or a related health field.
- At least five (5) years relevant experience in infectious diseases programs, public health, or clinical service delivery
- Demonstrated experience working on TB, HIV, hepatitis B, HPV, or other communicable disease programs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience working with the Department of Health and local government units is required.
- Experience in training development, mentorship, or health systems strengthening is an advantage.
- Willing to be assigned in Albay, Bicol Region
