Assistant Manager

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To assist the branch manager with the operations of branch performance.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Manages 1-5 employees as indicated by the Branch Manager
• Assists in the management of store inventory
• Serves as an intermediary between the manager and store and customer issues
• Makes and receives sales and customer calls as needed
• Coordinates tasks, the pulling of orders, deliveries, and other store tasks
• Ensures that employees are in compliance with company policy, safety standards, and safety practices

Requirements

EHS REQUIREMENTS:

• Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s TRIR goals
• Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals
• Complete, and actively participate in all the company’s safety training requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of experience in oil, gas, industrial, or related industry
• 1 year of experience in a management or supervisory role
• Knowledge of Bell Supply Company product lines
• Ability to communicate with customers on various levels to ensure quality customer service
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel, Word, and Email
• Intermediate to advanced experience with computer navigation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to bend and stoop as necessary
• Ability to communicate on a variety of levels to accommodate the experience of others
• Ability to travel as necessary for performance of duties
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works inside a climate-controlled environment in a Bell Supply Branch. The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
