Clinical Manager, Organ Recovery

The Clinical Manager, Organ Recovery is responsible for the supervision, management and training of positions supervised. Responsible for the daily operations of organ recovery pertaining to the positions supervised. This position coordinates organ procurement functions and activities of Organ Donation Coordinators, ensuring that all DonorConnect, UNOS, and AOPO policies, programs, objectives and strategies are supported. Ensures that services are professionally and efficiently delivered. Collaborates with the Operations Manager, Organ Recovery; Organ Recovery Supervisors; Organ Referral Manager, Organ Recovery; and Referral Supervisor, Organ Recovery on a regular basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training/Education/Certification:
- Maintain healthcare licensure (RN Preferred)
- Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
Experience Required:
- Minimum of five years' healthcare experience, OPO preferred with relevant outside work experience considered
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of the organ and tissue transplant fields
- Understanding of the critical care environment
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Able to manage a brain-dead donor through independent critical thinking and problem solving, priority setting, and resourcefulness
- Excellent public relations and interpersonal abilities
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Attentive to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Able to work well with all levels of personnel in hospital settings and within the differing guidelines of each institution
- Willingness to train and assist others
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to move up to 70 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stoop, squat, or bend frequently
- Exposure to patient elements including communicable disease, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting
- Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
