Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Electrophysiology team in a primarily procedure-based role within the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Working collaboratively with electrophysiology physicians and with a high degree of autonomy, this APP will provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing atrial fibrillation ablations and other electrophysiology procedures, including direct current cardioversions and implantable loop recorder insertions.

Location & Setting

• Care setting: Primarily procedure-based within an Ambulatory Surgery Center
• Patient population: Patients receiving care for atrial fibrillation and other cardiac arrhythmias

Scope of Practice / What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Manage pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing atrial fibrillation ablations.
• Perform direct current cardioversions.
• Perform implantable loop recorder insertions.
• Conduct patient assessments, education, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with electrophysiologists and Ambulatory Surgery Center staff to support exceptional patient outcomes.
• Practice with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining close physician collaboration.
• Support efficient procedural workflows, patient access, and continued program growth.

 

Team & Support Structure

• Team composition: Electrophysiologists, APPs, Ambulatory Surgery Center clinical staff, and procedural support teammates.
• Collaboration model: Autonomous APP practice supported by collaborative physician partnerships and a highly engaged multidisciplinary team.
• Onboarding and training support: To be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current or eligible licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the applicable state.
• Minimum of three years of cardiology or electrophysiology experience preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced procedural environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Any additional Workday education, certification, prescriptive authority, DEA, life-support certification, physical, and working-condition requirements must be confirmed before posting.
