  • Use electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to identify and correct problems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform electrical construction and installation, including conduit, grounding, power cables, switches, boxes, and equipment connections.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot air compressors and HVAC systems.
  • Assist with fabrication, carpentry, and other maintenance projects.
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs.
  • Advise management when equipment may present a safety hazard or should not remain in operation.
  • Assist with plant emergencies, safety audits, compliance audits, and insurance inspections.
  • Safely perform work on ladders, scaffolds, rooftops, and other elevated areas.
  • Assist with directing or training employees on electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, files, and required maintenance documentation.
  • Keep the electrical shop and work areas clean and organized.
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning, including vacuuming assigned frames and/or blowing out equipment.
  • Safely operate forklifts and tuggers when required and follow all plant traffic-safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Experience with industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, motors, controls, and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints
