Our Armament Systems site develops and produces medium- and large-caliber ammunition as well as precision capabilities for direct and indirect fire systems. Leading the industry, this team successfully completes lifecycle support for medium-caliber cannons, develops miniature, precision strike weapons for airborne platforms, creates survivability solutions for soldiers and the next generation tactical ammunition for a variety of combat platforms
About the Role:
Inspection of incoming goods & services to inspection plans, drawings and established standards for a variety of fabricated, machined, electro-mechanical assemblies, circuit cards, castings, etc. Perform visual and dimensional inspections per established workmanship criteria. Review of supplier data packages (test data and certifications) to requirements. Perform inspections for first article, lot acceptance tests and special requests per criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Inspection of received goods and services
- Special/Prototype inspections
- Review of supplier test data and certification packages
- Conduct internal audits
- Maintain lab practices/operations in compliance with standards & certifications
- Issue and follow up on discrepancy reports
- Support QMS audits and corrective actions
This position may be filled as a level 2 or level 3 Receiving Inspector based on the candidate’s education and/or years of experience.
Basic Qualifications for Receiving Inspector 2
- High School Diploma, Associated Technical Degree, Certification, or Diploma
- 2 years of dimensional inspection experience in aerospace industry or similar highly regulated environment
- Knowledge of AS9100
- Experience reading blueprints
- Basic GD&T skills
- Dimensional inspection experience utilizing micrometers, calipers, height gages, dial indicators, etc.
- Experience inspecting circuit boards and assemblies
- Familiar with sampling plans
Basic Qualifications for Receiving Inspector 3
- High School Diploma, Associated Technical Degree, Certification, or Diploma
- 4+ years of dimensional inspection experience in aerospace industry or similar highly regulated environment
- Knowledge of AS9100
- Experience reading blueprints
- Basic GD&T skills
- Dimensional inspection experience utilizing micrometers, calipers, height gages, dial indicators, etc.
- Experience inspecting circuit boards and assemblies
- Familiar with sampling plans
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 or more years of electro/mechanical inspection experience in aerospace or similar highly regulated environment.
- Formal advanced GD&T training
- IPC-A-600 and/or IPC-A-610 Certifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector
- Source Inspection experience
