About Lucid

At Lucid, we are creating an electric future without compromise. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. We build world-class vehicles by pushing performance, efficiency, and design beyond industry limits, setting new standards with vehicles like Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity.

The Role

We are seeking a Sr. SW Quality Vehicle Operation and Validation Project Manager who will serve as the accountable Lucid owner for the California assessment fleet, daily Quality assessment execution, and validation project coordination.

This role is responsible for ensuring assessment vehicles are ready, scheduled, configured, and available against software release milestones while managing fleet logistics, repair readiness, OTA and build control, validation support, and cross-functional execution.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management discipline, hands-on vehicle operations capability, software quality validation experience, and proactive cross-functional coordination to ensure Quality assessments start on time, findings are supported with the right evidence, and release readiness decisions are grounded in real vehicle execution.

Mission: Lead SW Quality vehicle operations and validation project execution by keeping the California assessment fleet ready, controlled, and effectively utilized so daily Quality assessments can execute on time and support software release readiness.

What You’ll Own

Fleet Ownership & Vehicle Readiness

Serve as the accountable Lucid owner for the California assessment fleet, daily Quality assessment execution, and validation project coordination.

Maintain fleet and vehicle readiness by ensuring assessment vehicles are available, scheduled, configured, and utilized against software release milestones.

Coordinate maintenance, repair, and parts replacement activities to keep assessment vehicles ready for planned execution.

OTA & Build Management

Own OTA and build control across the assessment fleet, including update deployment, version tracking, and configuration integrity.

Coordinate deployment of special builds with Digital Engineering for validation, investigation, and root cause support.

Track vehicle status, software and build versions, assessment availability, repair constraints, and execution blockers in a structured manner to support release milestone visibility.

Quality Assessment & Validation Support

Support Quality assessment execution through issue reproduction, log collection, and clear triage input for findings discovered during daily vehicle assessments.

Perform hands-on vehicle operations and assessment support as needed to confirm readiness, reproduce issues, collect evidence, and unblock execution.

Fleet Operations & Logistics Coordination

Coordinate drivers, fleet logistics, vehicle handoffs, and operational readiness so assessments start on time and daily execution remains continuous.

Organize multiple vehicles, builds, drivers, repairs, and daily assessment schedules while maintaining clear status visibility and operational control.

Cross-Functional Program Execution

Partner closely with Software Quality, Digital Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Service, Fleet Operations, and Program teams to align assessment priorities, vehicle readiness, and release-support needs.

Drive cross-functional alignment and escalation across vehicle readiness, repair coordination, OTA and build updates, and assessment execution needs.

Continuous Improvement

Drive practical improvements to daily assessment operations, including fleet readiness routines, escalation paths, handoff discipline, and repeatable execution processes.

Identify readiness gaps and execution blockers and drive improvements that strengthen fleet utilization, validation support, and release readiness.

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or operational field OR equivalent relevant technical education, certification, or comparable formal training is required.
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in vehicle operations, fleet coordination, software quality validation, test operations, service engineering, or related automotive product quality roles.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle readiness, fleet utilization, software build deployment, OTA update control, and configuration tracking in an automotive engineering environment.
  • Experience coordinating vehicle testing or assessment execution, including driver scheduling, issue reproduction support, log collection, and engineering triage inputs.
  • Familiarity with repair coordination, maintenance planning, parts replacement, and vehicle downtime management for assessment or engineering fleets.
  • Working knowledge of software release milestones, vehicle software versions, special build handling, and validation support workflows with engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and practical technical judgment, with the ability to identify execution blockers, readiness gaps, and evidence needs for Quality findings.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on vehicle checks, supporting assessment drives, confirming build and configuration status, and collecting structured findings from fleet execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where vehicle availability, software builds, assessment schedules, and release priorities change quickly.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications.

Leadership & Management Qualifications

  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to act as the accountable lead for fleet readiness, daily Quality assessment execution, and operational follow-through.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to align drivers, technicians, engineering teams, quality stakeholders, and program partners around daily execution priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage time-sensitive logistics, readiness blockers, vehicle availability risks, and release-driven priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and escalation discipline, with the ability to drive closure across vehicle readiness, repair coordination, OTA and build updates, and assessment execution needs.
  • Ability to organize multiple vehicles, builds, drivers, repairs, and daily assessment schedules while maintaining clear status visibility and operational control.

Preferred

  • Significant relevant experience in hands-on vehicle operations, fleet management, software quality assessment, service engineering, or automotive product quality.
