Grade: 20
Salary: $74,506-$78,000
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc., is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Pre-Award Grants Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to join our collaborative administrative team at a world-class research institution. This position has responsibility across three entities, Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene (RFMH), New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI), and Columbia University (CU) Psychiatry. There is considerable interaction among the three organizations, therefore the complexity and dimensions of this position require outstanding skills and professionalism.
This position will work within the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and liaison with various investigators across the institutions to provide pre-award support for grant applications, as well as additional administrative tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed budgets and justifications for grant application.
- Work with Principal Investigators to confirm final budget and subcontracts.
- Work with investigators to identify and organize all components necessary for grant submission.
- Compiling and formatting applications to meet sponsor specifications and deadlines.
- Working with OSP to ensure review of all application materials and timely submission of all documents.
- Review Biographical sketches and Other Support documents for investigators.
- Assisting Principal Investigators in the preparation of Post Submission material, Just in Time requests, progress, interim and final reports as per the sponsor's guidelines and deadlines.
- Compiling and submitting to OSP, all documents required to facilitate the execution of subcontracts.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and (2) or more years of related experience in sponsored projects in a sponsored projects environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Ability to work within financial systems
- A high degree of literacy and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe
