Description

Pay Range: $22.53-$33.79
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
*Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Previous machinery or equipment operation experience preferred
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
Self-directed with the ability to successfully multitask
Ability to follow instructions and direction
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills needed
Ability to prioritize tasks and adjust quickly to changing needs
Must be proactive, attentive, and safety-minded
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, overtime, and weekends as needed
Ability to learn and perform other roles within the Metallizing and Digital Plant
Ability to obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift
Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the machine to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Follow all safety requirements and maintain a safe work environment
Meet established quality, waste, and production standards and goals
Meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations
Maintain the highest quality standards throughout operations
Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other departments to resolve mechanical issues, report defective material, coordinate job preparations and changeovers, and share daily shift information
Accurately and promptly report production information in Prism, including waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials, and related data
Maintain personal safety and the safety of team members assisting with machine operations
Perform operator duties, including but not limited to the following:
Prepare master rolls for slitting
Load rolls into the machine and prepare them for splicing
Properly segregate and label all materials, as appropriate, including work in process, rewinds, trash, and hold materials
Assist with removing rolls from rewind, as needed
Remove and weigh startup rolls and materials at the beginning of each job
Complete daily housekeeping duties to keep the work area clean and organized during setup, production runs, and end-of-shift activities
Remove and weigh all waste materials
Separate trash waste from recyclable materials
Properly store all unused equipment
Perform and support other functions within the Metallizing and Digital plant as needed
