Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities Include:

• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
• Verify rooms are empty and initiate maintenance requests
• Follow procedures for reporting to work, taking meal breaks and end of shift
• Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
• Welcome, Greet, and escort guests
• Display a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor in all interactions with guests, patrons and other employees

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Possess a positive attitude
• Must be service oriented
• Must be a team player

Qualifications

 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four (4) hours in length

Qualification Standards:

Education: High school or equivalent education preferred.

Experience: 1 to 2 years previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel preferred

Licenses or Certificates: none

Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
