Description
Compensation:
- Starting rate $18.73/hour.
- A Sign-On Bonus of $1,500.
- This position is covered under a union contract.

- Set the Stage — Transport and set up equipment to turn everyday spaces into professional donation centers. All staff work as a team to set up and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive.
- Connect with Donors — Welcome donors, listen to their stories, and help them feel comfortable and valued.
- Build Real Skills — Perform safe, high-quality blood collections once fully trained in phlebotomy techniques.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance — Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure every donation meets quality standards and can be safely transfused.
- Pack Up with Purpose — Leave each site knowing the blood collected today could reach a patient within days.
We operate when donors are available, so you can expect a mix of:
- Early mornings.
- Evenings.
- Weekends.
- Occasional holidays.
- Some locations may require overnight travel.
We’re looking for people with heart, reliability, and strong potential — whether your background is medical, service-based, or community-focused.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills.
- A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record; reliable personal transportation may be required in certain locations.
- Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
- Lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Adapting to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.
- A minimum height of 60 inches (required to safely operate Red Cross vehicles).
- Bonus points (not required) — we love seeing experience in any of the following:
- Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
- Prior leadership experience.
- Retail, hospitality, food service, military service, or other people-focused roles.
