Overview

The Parts Crib Attendant supports production by managing maintenance inventory, tools, and MRO supplies to ensure equipment uptime and efficient operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, supporting preventive maintenance activities, controlling costs, and ensuring a safe, organized work environment.

This position plays a key role in ensuring consistent operation and minimizing production downtime by ensuring equipment stays in optimal condition, operations run smoothly, and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and able to support both people and processes in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, stock, and issue maintenance parts, tools, and supplies via SAP
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, cycle counts, and records by conducting routine checks and audits on vending machines, crib stock and consumables
  • Inspect materials for damage, defects, or safety issues and ensure proper storage
  • Maintain and service small tools and equipment
  • Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders via SAP in a timely manner
  • Reconcile invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable
  • Work with vendors on pricing, quotes, and delivery
  • Coordinate, outside services and assist with set up while maintaining supplier relationships
  • Print, track, and distribute preventive maintenance (PMs)
  • Support TPM and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts crib
  • Follow 5S and visual workplace standards
  • Support safe storage and handling practices
  • Communicate across shifts and with maintenance teams
  • Run local errands for parts
  • Back up to Maintenance Coordinator when needed
  • Assist where needed and support plant operations
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in manufacturing, maintenance, or inventory control
  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience with inventory/purchasing systems using SAP
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft office tools is required

Requirements

  • Overtime and weekend work as needed
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally

Ability to bend, reach, and work at varying heights
