Summary
The VP, Quality Assurance Manager will support and lead a refreshed approach to QA at Oaktree. This position will work closely with the Senier Vice President, Global Engineering and Managing Director, Strategy & Operations and the and technology teams to redefine and incorporate a pragmatic and sound QA process.The VP, Quality Assurance Manager will lead QA strategy and execution for large complex initiatives as well as set the gold standard for best practices for new and existing development work. As a Vice President, this role is also responsible for developing and driving execution of a comprehensive QA automation strategy that modernizes Oaktree's QA operating and delivery model, applying automation engineering approaches — including AI — to build an efficient, optimized, and technology-enabled quality function.

Responsibilities
Define and execute the enterprise Quality Engineering strategy aligned to business and technology objectives, driving automation-first and AI-enabled testing to improve quality, accelerate delivery, and scale efficiently.
Lead the transformation from traditional QA to continuous quality engineering, establishing standardized frameworks, processes, governance, and best practices across Agile and DevOps delivery models.
Build scalable, maintainable automation frameworks that reduce manual effort, streamline testing workflows, minimize handoffs, and provide end-to-end visibility across the software testing lifecycle.
Establish quality metrics, KPIs, quality gates, and audit mechanisms to measure effectiveness, monitor risk, and drive data-driven continuous improvement.
Drive quality initiatives through root-cause analysis, risk-based testing, defect prevention, and process optimization to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
Govern end-to-end UAT processes, including centralized management of test documentation and artifacts, progress tracking, results reporting, and participation metrics.
Partner with business analysts, digital product, and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective test strategies, validate outcomes, and accelerate defect resolution.
Collaborate with product and technology leadership to define roadmaps, influence design decisions, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
Lead performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience testing to ensure applications meet business, operational, and regulatory expectations.
Drive execution of the QA automation and AI-testing roadmap, leveraging modern tools and frameworks to increase test coverage, improve productivity, and accelerate release velocity.
Establish governance for AI-enabled testing, overseeing AI-generated results and ensuring automated testing decisions align with business objectives, risk controls, and quality standards.
Evaluate and adopt emerging Quality Engineering trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance organizational capabilities.
Provide technical leadership, hands-on guidance, and problem-solving expertise to QA and automation teams while mentoring talent and fostering a culture of excellence.
Lead modernization of the QA operating model, including processes, tooling, vendor management, organizational design, and resource strategy to support long-term growth and scalability.
Define and manage test plans, schedules, procedures, documentation standards, and release readiness activities to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Qualifications
15+ years of technology experience with significant leadership experience in Quality Engineering, QA Automation, and Testing.
Strong understanding of Asset & Wealth Management, Investment Management, Portfolio Management, Trading Platforms, or Financial Services technology.
Proven experience building and scaling enterprise QA and automation organizations.
Deep expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC), test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, Agile delivery, DevOps practices, and quality engineering principles.
Hands-on experience with automation tools, API testing, UI, Data testing, regression, performance testing, and cloud-based testing platforms.
Experience implementing AI-driven testing and intelligent automation solutions.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive transformation, improve operational efficiency, and deliver measurable business outcomes, end to end ownership.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in quality management tools and techniques, such as statistical process control, root cause analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
Demonstrated leadership and talent management capabilities, with a proven ability to build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Relevant certifications, such as Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), are a plus.
