JOB PURPOSE
Carelon Global Solutions is seeking an Assistant Manager - Process Excellence.
The Assistant Manager will support strategic business transformation initiatives by analyzing the current state processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and assisting complex projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams and internal team leaders.
This role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on experience in business transformations and problem-solving methodologies. The role involves designing target state, developing actionable recommendations, and building robust business cases and implementation roadmaps.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key deliverables:
Project Support & Execution: Assist in delivering business transformation initiatives by supporting the Discover–Design–Deploy lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and measurable impact.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with initiative leaders, cross-functional teams, and partner ecosystems to drive alignment and facilitate smooth project delivery.
Analysis & Insight Development: Conduct data analysis to identify process gaps, quantify improvement opportunities, and prepare KPI dashboards and executive-level reports.
Methodology Application: Apply Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking principles to support process reengineering and continuous improvement efforts.
Research & Recommendations: Perform market research and contribute to Points of View (PoVs) on healthcare trends and consumer experience enhancements.
Continuous Improvement: Support quality frameworks, risk management, and operational controls while leveraging best practices and benchmarking to sustain improvements.
QUALIFICATION
MBA/Masters from a tier 1 business school or bachelor’s degree in engineering/science from a tier I recognized university.
Healthcare Certifications and Six Sigma Green Belt are good to have but not mandatory
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 6 years of overall work experience. Exposure in US healthcare is an added advantage.
Prior experience in consulting firms/customer-facing environment and internal strategy teams is a plus
Experience in assessment and implementation of large transformation projects
Current state assessment, problem-framing, data analysis and insight generation, root cause analysis, process reengineering and optimization, target state design and solution prioritization
Financial modeling, value case development, and ROI analysis
Expertise in MS Office, Visio, Data analysis
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Strong presentation and executive writing skills; ability to present clearly and listen effectively.
Stakeholder relationship management with sound business acumen.
Structured problem solving (MECE, hypothesis driven approach) skills with strategic thinking.
Ability to work in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
Comfortable working in a matrixed organization
Resilient and focused team player who performs well under pressure.
Working knowledge of change management principles and project delivery practices.
Hands-on experience supporting complex projects and transformation initiatives.
