What you'll do
As a member of our 12-month Software Engineering Industrial Placement Programme, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on live customer projects from day one.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Contribute to the development and verification of embedded software for Evolito motor controller products
Write software requirements and produce design documentation and code for safety-critical software
Write and execute test cases using hardware-in-the-loop test platforms
Peer review software development artefacts and support the wider project team
Gain experience of aerospace software processes aligned with RTCA DO-178C Design Assurance Level A
Receive mentoring and support throughout the programme
You could be involved in projects across:
Embedded Software Development
Software Requirements
Software Design & Coding
Hardware-in-the-Loop Testing
Software Verification
Peer Review
Safety-Critical Software Development
What we're looking for
We're looking for motivated students who:
Are studying Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline with embedded software content
Need to complete an industrial placement year as part of their course
Have good knowledge of C and/or Python
Enjoy solving problems using a logical and structured approach
Are self-motivated, collaborative and eager to learn
