• Coordinate the accounts payable process by reviewing invoice coding, verifying approvals, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and client requirements

• Serve as the primary accounting resource for on-site property teams, responding to procedural questions and resolving accounting issues efficiently

• Oversee cash management activities including loan servicing, disbursement processing, and external reporting to maintain accurate financial records

• Manage internal and external audit processes by coordinating with various departments, gathering required documentation, and ensuring timely completion

• Support annual budget preparation by compiling key assumptions, reviewing capital budget information, and ensuring accurate data entry into accounting systems

• Execute year-end reconciliation processes, calculate adjustments, and ensure all billing occurs timely and correctly per lease requirements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 2+ years of accounting experience, with real estate accounting experience

Experience with real estate accounting software such as MRI or Yardi (or similar CMMS platforms)

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze data, create financial models, and generate reports

• Demonstrated ability to multitask, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize workload to meet client deadlines

• Client-focused mindset with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, gaining trust and respect from internal and external stakeholders

• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to establish a course of action, accomplish goals, and evaluate results

• Comfort dealing with ambiguity, including the ability to make decisions without complete information and handle risk and uncertainty effectively

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Access for database management and reporting

• Track record of exceeding goals and driving results in deadline-driven environments

• Previous experience preparing financial statements for commercial real estate properties
