Advanced Specialist, Operational Excellence - Procurement, AP OPEX

Overview

Actively and independently drives global AP or cross-functional, standardization, process improvements and change projects. Drives innovation and improvement idea realization from conception until implementation within AP department with the ability of handling multiple departments including cross-functional collaboration. Plans, coordinates and supervises system enhancements and related testing. Works closely with IT BRMs and other OPEX organizations in the area of P2P. Drives and leads the company´s upgrade strategies in identifying business benefits. Sets and drives internal quality standards. Designs and commissions ad hoc analysis supporting department objectives and/or strategy. Supports the planning, coordination of all initiatives managed by AP OPEX team. Provides support in project pipeline maintenance and coordinating P2P project leaders.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for tasks involving analysis of financial and transactional data, including report or KPI design
• Driver of creation and improvement of departmental policies, training documents and performance metrics
• Gate-keeping and channeling between operations and business owners
• Responsible for idea generation of and driving process improvements Projects
• Proponent of standardization efforts across regions and sub-functions
• Training, support & functional coaching of super users
• Ideation and maintenance of P2P project pipeline
• Solution discovery, analysis and implementation

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

• Structured problem solving/troubleshooting abilities and follow-up skills  to perform complex issue resolution
• Requires a basic understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
• Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels within the organization, as well as external parties.
• Ability to complete activities and accomplish objectives independently
• Experience in project management and implementing process improvements (six sigma, agile, lean or similar methodology is an advantage)
• Ability to drive for results
• Ability to translate functional business requirements into technical ones
• Must be able to work well with others
• Fluent English language knowledge

 

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Proven data entry
• Sufficient understanding of the P2P processes
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• SAP PR3, PBI
• Accounting knowledge & University degree is an advantage
• Other European Language knowledge is an advantage
