Position Summary:
Vantage Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Gulfstream G280 Captain to join our Flight Operations team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft while ensuring full compliance with all FAA regulations, company policies, and operational procedures, including FAA Part 91 and Part 135 requirements. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and flexibility, and is a proactive team player with a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Requirements
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
- Operate the G280 in compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and safety standards
- Conduct pre-flight planning, including weather analysis, fuel planning, routing, weight and balance, and performance calculations
- Ensure all required aircraft documentation, inspections, and certifications are current prior to each flight
- Work closely with the flight crew to ensure seamless coordination and communication during all phases of flight
- Deliver an outstanding client experience with discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Participate in recurrent training and maintain all required FAA certifications
- Support flight operations, scheduling, and other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot or Director of Operations
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Current and valid First-Class FAA Medical Certificate
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, aviation safety standards, and operational best practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation with discretion when working with high-net-worth individuals
- Candidates must live or be willing to relocate to within 2 hours of KFCI
Experience:
- Minimum 5,000 flight hours
- Minimum 2,000 hours PIC
- Minimum 2,000 hours multi-engine time
Preferred Qualifications:
- G280 type rating preferred or willingness to obtain through company-sponsored training
- 250 hours time in type preferred
- Previous Part 91 and/or Part 135 experience strongly preferred
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel frequently
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Extended periods working in an aircraft cockpit environment
- Ability to perform duties in varying weather and operational conditions
- Ability to manage physical demands associated with flight operations
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
