We’re looking for an energetic, tech-savvy, animal-loving multitasker to join our team as a Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative. This role is primarily focused on veterinary reception and client service, while also providing opportunities to cross-train and support our boarding, kennel, and patient care operations as needed.

What You'll Do
As a Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative, you’ll be the first smile and voice our clients experience. You’ll help create a warm, professional, and efficient experience for every client and patient.
- Provide friendly, high-quality customer service with compassion and enthusiasm
- Greet clients and pets warmly and create a welcoming front-desk experience
- Answer phones, schedule veterinary appointments, and respond to client questions
- Collect patient histories and ensure accurate information is documented
- Check patients in and out and communicate patient needs to the veterinary team
- Process invoices, payments, estimates, and other financial transactions accurately
- Determine vaccination, immunization, and wellness status of incoming patients
- Manage prescription, food, and product requests under veterinarian guidance
- Accurately enter and update client and patient information in the practice management system
- Assist with appointment confirmations, reminders, and client follow-up
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and welcoming reception area
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and management
- Help create a next-level client experience from the first phone call through checkout
- Assist with the daily care and monitoring of boarding and hospitalized patients
- Feed, walk, exercise, and provide basic care for boarding pets according to established instructions
- Monitor pets for changes in appetite, behavior, comfort, or overall condition and communicate concerns to the appropriate team member
- Assist with safe and compassionate animal handling and restraint when appropriate
- Help maintain clean, sanitary, organized kennels, runs, treatment areas, and patient spaces
- Assist with laundry, stocking, cleaning, and other hospital support duties
- Provide additional support to the veterinary team during busy periods
- Learn additional hospital and patient-care responsibilities through cross-training
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of veterinary, medical, customer service, or reception experience preferred
- Previous veterinary reception or animal hospital experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable answering phones and interacting with clients in person
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning practice management software, email, and digital communication tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
- Compassionate toward pets and their people
- Comfortable learning new responsibilities and cross-training in different areas of the hospital
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to jump in wherever the team needs support
- Comfortable safely handling and caring for dogs and cats
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs. as needed
- Availability to work occasional weekends as needed
