Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN Clinical Coordinator, you will support unit operations by overseeing daily clinical and departmental activities, serving as the shift charge or service line coordinator, and ensuring that patient care consistently meets quality standards. Acting as a liaison between physicians and the patient care team, you will promote cooperation across departments, supervise nursing staff, and provide guidance on performance management.

 

Every day, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care aligned with best practices and the State Nurse Practice Act. You will also maintain communication with unit staff, contribute to unit-wide improvements, and mentor associates to foster professional growth.

 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the capacity to drive high-quality care.

• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data. Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Assists in directing, organizing and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care.
• Immediate problem-solving patient complaints and other issues that could negatively impact patient care.

Job Requirements

Required

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• One (1) year of direct experince
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state RN license/Current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty physical requirements
• Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly

Preferred

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing
• Nursing specialty certification
