About the role
Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and play a critical role in improving patient outcomes through high-quality data management and clinical insights. As our Data Manager, you will:
Drive Data Excellence: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of clinical and patient data submitted to key registries including CIBMTR, ANZTCT, and EBMT, supporting high standards of care and compliance.
Support Clinical Impact: Conduct internal data analysis and generate insightful reports to support clinical decision-making, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.
Lead Regulatory Compliance: Manage and prepare data for regulatory reporting and external audits in line with standards set by CIBMTR, JACIE, EBMT, NATA, and the ACI NSW BMT Network.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with physicians, nurses, researchers, and administrative staff to ensure complete and timely data capture throughout the patient journey.
Champion Innovation: Contribute to the development of protocols, quality initiatives, and data-driven improvements in bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy services.
About you
You’re a detail-driven, collaborative professional who thrives in clinical or research environments. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Relevant Qualifications & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in health information management, biomedical sciences, or a related field, along with proven experience in healthcare or clinical research data management.
Specialist Knowledge: Solid understanding of transplant and cellular therapy data systems, accreditation requirements (e.g., CIBMTR, JACIE), and the flexibility to adapt to evolving data protocols.
Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), health informatics platforms like MOSAIQ, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
Team-Oriented & Independent: A self-starter who can work both collaboratively and autonomously with minimal supervision while managing deadlines and priorities effectively.
Excellent Communicator: Skilled at engaging with clinical, scientific, and research teams, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
