What would you do as an operator

You can expect a dynamic and engaging daily routine. Your primary responsibilities will include moving raw materials and finished products around the yard, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of trucks. You'll be navigating our facility, maintaining safety standards, and keeping the yard organized and tidy.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

1ST SHIFT Mon - Fri 6AM-230PM

3RD SHIFT Mon - Fri 10PM -630AM ($3.00/hr shift differential)

REsponsibilities

• Operate and monitor the computerized flour handling and distribution system to safely and accurately transfer flour into designated storage bins.
• Receive and unload hopper-bottom flour trailers, ensuring materials are transferred to the correct storage location.
• Verify the flour type, load information, and designated bin prior to unloading to prevent product contamination or misallocation.
• Inspect incoming flour and trailer interiors for foreign materials, contamination, or other conditions that could impact product quality.
• Safely connect and disconnect trailers to the unloading system and operate equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Thoroughly sweep and clean hopper-bottom trailers after unloading to ensure all product is removed and trailers are ready for release.
• Return emptied trailers to the designated Foltz lot in an orderly and timely manner.
• Monitor flour levels in storage bins and coordinate with production personnel to ensure an adequate and continuous supply of flour is available for manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate awareness of bin assignments and flour inventory to support production requirements and prevent cross-contamination.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material discrepancies, foreign materials, or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas around the flour unloading, transfer, and storage systems.
• Follow all established food safety, quality, safety, and operating procedures while handling raw materials and operating mill equipment.
• Assist in the Meat Room as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and perform other physical activities required in a manufacturing environment.
• Climb and descend stairs and ladders safely and routinely, including accessing elevated work areas and equipment.
• Ability to safely operate or work from a scissor lift to access elevated equipment and production areas for inspection, verification, and environmental or sanitation sampling
• Maintain balance and stability while working on elevated platforms, stairs, ladders, and uneven or wet surfaces, as applicable.
• Work in varying environmental conditions, including areas that may be hot, cold, wet, humid, noisy, or subject to temperature fluctuations.
