What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney’s Tooling Support Services (TSS) is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Logistics operations within the TSS team.  This is a key member of the Tool Support Services leadership team.  The person in this role will manage the 3PL support relationship, customer service, and procurement team as well as the main focal for supplier quality and collaborating on audit schedule and dispositioning non-conformances all while maintaining a focus on delivering the right tool, on time, every time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cross-functional communication, ensuring clear ownership, timing, and closure of open actions
• Focal for Supplier Quality audits/ disposition/ prioritization
• Support weekly production meetings with Procurement/ CSR’s
• Drive CORE initiatives on-site
• Drive resolution by coordinating across outsourced labor and PW employees
• Maintain visibility to execution risks, gaps, and recovery to receiving, inspection, and shipping
• Provide execution inputs into capacity and resource planning
• Interface directly with site and working teams to ensure alignment and follow-through
• Ensures personnel conduct timely and accurate inventory transactions, receipt, put away, picking and issuing of material to/from stock in assigned warehouse/stockrooms to support timely and accurate delivery of material to production or customers.
• Ensure timely completion, resolution and analysis of cycle-counts to drive improved inventory accuracy.

• Learn about the Aftermarket Aerospace industry and the tooling process across multiple customers and business units.
• Grow into a key member of the Tool Support Services leadership team engaging with outsourcing support, customer service, and procurement team as well as the main focal for supplier quality and collaborating on audit schedule and dispositioning non-conformances all while maintaining a focus on delivering the right tool, on time, every time.

 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Advanced Degree and 7+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Military, Aftermarket, Aerospace or Aviation industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 12+ years of relevant industry experience. OR 14+ years of hands-on relevant industry experience.

 

Qualifications We Prefer

• Degree in STEM field; Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.
• Experience managing 3PL relationships and Logistics/Warehouse Operations
• Personnel management experience to include developing and leading teams
• Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution
• Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.  
• Experience with MS Office programs and ERP systems, ideally SAP Warehouse and Sales modules
• Aftermarket Aerospace Composite and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience
• Experience with continuous improvement tools, principles and methodologies (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, etc.)   
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel, customers and suppliers.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
