This role requires an in-depth understanding of promotional programs and an ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. The primary focus of the role is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of promotions, rebates, or any other AR related activity in accordance with program terms, including validation, tracking, and resolution. Responsible for identifying, solving discrepancies, open balances and communicate with customers to resolve payment issues and obtain necessary documents. Generate and reconcile customer accounts receivable reports. Understand the O2C cycle, Cash Applications process, Credit and Collections interactions and concepts as well as all steps related to Deduction handling.

Perform job functions in accordance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), federal and state laws, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, health authority regulations, and departmental processes.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Leads or participates in special projects as assigned. Trains new employees as needed within the assigned process tower.

  • Work closely with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure proper AR activities processing and compliance with program terms.

  • Reviews work of non-exempt staff from a quality perspective to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in reporting, analysis, and decision-making. 

  • Act as subject-matter expert with extensive understanding of customer policies and procedures related to its specific process tower.

  • Act as an escalation point for diverse dynamics across the assigned process tower as well as root cause correction upon identified continuous improvement.

  • Assists in day-to-day activities, processing of items and internal projects upon need and per the assigned process tower.

  • Assist in the timely completion of month-end closing procedures for the assigned process tower as well as any task related to KPI monitoring and tracking.

  • Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders as well as partners within the organization.  

  • Present customer account status to management and various internal departments such as the 30-day reporting and conducting quarterly business reviews.

  • Analyze AR data to identify trends and make recommendations to improve program effectiveness.

  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies related to promotions and rebates.

  • Perform any other Ad Hoc requests assigned.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

Education

  • Required High school diploma/GED/Higher secondary or equivalent

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 2-4 years of experience

  • Combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Experience

  • Extensive experience with SAP and FLEX 2-4 years preferred.

Skills and abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to summarize and present large amounts of data in a clear, concise manner

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships and be a strong team player, with the ability to work with all levels of the company and customer

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines

  • Strong computer application skills especially Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Must be able to protect confidential and sensitive information

Language skills

  • Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents.

  • Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. 

  • Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts. 

  • Ability to present to a group across the organization.
