Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join the COMPASS transformation
program. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, integration, testing,
and modernization of the COMPASS platform, supporting the migration of business
capabilities from legacy PRKS and Cash Portal systems to the target-state architecture. The
role combines enterprise software engineering skills with AI-enabled development
practices to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
COMPASS is being delivered through a phased rollout strategy that includes outbound
integrations, business workflow migration, and full platform adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development
• Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications within the COMPASS
platform.
• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, batch processes, and integration
components.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, development,
testing, and defect resolution.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Support production readiness, release activities, and post-release stabilization.
System Integration
• Develop integrations with internal and external systems using APIs, messaging, file
transfers, and cloud services.
• Participate in system integration testing and end-to-end validation activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration, data, and application issues.
• Support onboarding of new counterparties and business workflows to COMPASS.
AI-Enabled Engineering
• Utilize Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery
efficiency.
• Apply Generative AI for code generation, test automation, documentation,
troubleshooting, and knowledge management.
• Develop and support AI-driven solutions for operational automation, data analysis,
and workflow optimization.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve developer
productivity.
Quality & DevOps
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• Follow secure SDLC, coding standards, and quality practices.
• Participate in peer code reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Support monitoring, observability, and performance optimization initiatives.
Collaboration
• Work closely with business analysts, product owners, architects, QA teams, and
operations teams.
• Collaborate with global teams across APAC, EMEA, and North America.
• Support project documentation, technical design reviews, and knowledge sharing
activities.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
• 2-3 years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Experience with Oracle SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of API integration, file processing, and enterprise application
development.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery.
AI Skills
• Experience using AI coding assistants such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and AI-enabled
software development.
• Interest in applying AI tools to improve engineering productivity and business
processes.
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and business domains.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
• Experience in Financial Services, Investment Management, or Transaction
Processing platforms.
• Knowledge of DevOps, observability, and automated testing tools.
• Exposure to Generative AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, or
Agentic AI solutions
