John Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled & veterans.

Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - Moline

Function: Product and Process Mgmt (CA)

Title: Legal Operations Program Manager - 123374

Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

## Your Responsibilities

The Legal Operations Program Manager leads the end-to-end delivery of Legal Operations’ portfolio of initiatives, translating the function’s multi-year strategy and roadmap into sequenced, well-governed programs. Operating as the single point of delivery accountability, this role plans and coordinates cross-functional projects, manages dependencies and risk, and drives initiatives to measurable completion — building repeatable capabilities that scale to support a global Legal team.

As a Legal Operations Program Manager for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, Des Moines, IA, Chicago, IL, or Santa Clara, CA you will:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the Legal Operations program/portfolio — translate the multi-year roadmap into sequenced projects with clear scope, plans, milestones, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Establish and run program governance — intake, prioritization, status cadence, and management of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies — with clear, executive-level reporting to the Director and legal leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and stakeholders across Legal, IT, Finance/Sourcing, outside counsel, and regional teams to keep initiatives on scope, on time, and aligned as global capabilities are built.
  • Manage program risk, budget, and change; proactively surface and remove blockers and drive timely decisions to keep delivery on track.
  • Lead change management and adoption so new processes and technologies are embedded and sustained across the global Legal team.
  • Define, track, and report program KPIs and benefits realization — delivery, adoption, value, and return on new capabilities and tools.
  • Continuously improve Legal Operations’ program and project management practices, tools, and templates to increase delivery velocity and consistency

VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

## What Skills You Need

  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-level status reporting and the ability to translate complex work into clear updates and decisions.
  • Experience driving process and/or technology change and adoption across an organization.
  • Strong data and reporting fluency — building dashboards, tracking KPIs, and reporting on progress and benefits

## What Makes You Standout

  • Experience in Legal Operations, a corporate legal department, or a professional-services / regulated-industry environment.
  • Experience delivering programs across a global or multi-region organization.
  • Program, project, or process certification — PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scrum, or Lean/Six Sigma
  • Familiarity with legal technology and GenAI-enabled tools and automation
