Description
Corteva Agriscience is looking for an SAP Finance-Treasury Solution Engineer (SE) to be part of the Integrated Enterprise Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Treasury solutions. The SE will be responsible for engineering, configuring, testing, and maintaining SAP S/4HANA and surrounding AP, AR, Treasury, Cash flow, In-house cash, and hedging solutions throughout the application lifecycle.
The role requires strong knowledge of business processes within SAP S/4 Payables, Receivables and Treasury overall, as well as other non-SAP Treasury and financial systems. This position defines and drives the strategy for putting the engineering elements in place to support Corteva’s vision for Treasury, Banking processes and in-general, all Financials flows with external partners and related IT systems in the medium to long term. It involves discovering, validating, and mapping relevant business functions through interviews, research, industry trends, and developments, and leveraging them for modeling, prototyping, simulating, and analyzing current and future states using SAP and non-SAP solutions for Treasury, AP & AR to provide robust, scalable solutions.
The SE must be able to bridge the IT and business domains and effectively communicate with other Solution Engineers, Business Process Experts, configurators, and Solution Architects within Corteva IT to develop a consistent end-to-end solution supporting financial flows within Corteva and with external partners. The SE will thoroughly understand the Corteva Agriscience business strategy and processes for Treasury, AP & AR to help define and execute the overall ERP Finance Product Roadmap.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- SAP Solution Engineer for S/4HANA global solution spanning multiple countries over North America, Europe, LATAM, and Asia-Pacific for Treasury, AP & AR.
- Exhibits good command of more than one of the following areas in SAP Treasury: Cash Management, In-House Cash, Payments, Multi-Bank Connectivity, Trading Platform Integration, short- and long-term investments and debt instruments, credit risk and market data management, and loan management (FS-CML).
- Understands business processes and non-SAP applications integration related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Understands business processes related to financial instrument hedging, such as intercompany loans and derivatives (e.g., FX options and FX forwards) or commodities hedging.
- Translates and maps business processes to enable design in SAP AP, AR, TRM, hedging, and surrounding applications. Helps identify end-to-end functional and non-functional system requirements, including integration with other non-SAP tools and systems surrounding the S/4 platform.
- Has hands-on ability to independently prototype SAP solutions to meet end-to-end Treasury, AP and AR requirements, or define a work breakdown structure for a configuration and development team to develop a cohesive working solution.
- Is able to engineer SAP AP, AR and TRM configuration and enhancements for a robust, scalable solution.
- Researches current trends and best practices to advise business leads and IT configurators on the best solution approach for Corteva.
- Has hands-on ability to write system design documents, including detailed design and technical design, update requirements traceability, and develop test scenarios and cases.
- Envisions critical scenarios and points of failure in the end-to-end process and defines relevant test cases. Performs end-to-end functional and non-functional testing of the system to meet requirements, including unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Can identify and define process and system dependencies while implementing new SAP functionality in the context of ongoing enterprise business and IT initiatives.
- Can understand requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, provide estimates, and suggest process and technology improvements.
- Works with Run & Maintain service providers to manages the periodic SAP and non-SAP upgrades through evaluation, regression testing, and deployment.
- Provides guidance with SAP-Security role design.
- Owns the performance aspect of end-to-end SAP Treasury, AP & AR service delivery in Production.
- Preferably has experience with SWIFT integration services, ISO 20022, and non-SAP Supply Chain Finance solutions.
- Preferred solution design experience demonstrating an understanding of various Treasury business process designs and SAP integration experience with SAP and third-party platforms such as Serrala, Taulia, SAP-CCP, SAP Digital Payments (EBPP), FIS, 360T, IT2, and Bloomberg.

Position Requirements
- Prior domain or functional experience with Treasury and Finance functions in large companies.
- Understands how derivatives work in SAP, using FX options or FX forwards as underlying instruments. Experience with commodities futures, margin payments, or options instruments would be useful.
- Ability to research requirements and solutions, evaluate alternative approaches, and present a recommended solution in SAP or similar Treasury systems.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure project environment with speed and agility.
- Strong attention to detail and quality/accuracy of deliverables, preferring outcomes over outputs.
- Demonstrated effectiveness and ability to work independently, and drive results with peers, stakeholders, and customers.
- Acts honestly and professionally, with the ability to handle highly confidential and time-sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask under minimal supervision.
- Decisive ability to recognize when to act and when to escalate.
- Demonstrable accumulated knowledge of Treasury processes in a global environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with large vendor partners, suppliers, and third-party contractors preferred.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Treasury, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or an equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oil & Gas, Utilities, or Financial Services industries implementing and supporting SAP Finance and Treasury.
