Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine safety, health, and environmental laws, regulations, and client requirements.
- Ensuring the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation.
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and the implementation of appropriate control measures.
- Oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive action programs.
- Plan and conduct HSE audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring activities.
- Manage emergency preparedness programs, response plans, and emergency drills.
- Promote a positive safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, coaching, and leadership engagement.
- Monitor and report HSE performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
- Manage consultant, contractor and subcontractor compliance with HSE requirements and safety standards.
- Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, clients, and stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Lead, mentor, and develop HSE personnel to support organizational safety and environmental objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve zero harm, reduce risks, and enhance overall HSE performance.
- Support project and operational teams in maintaining safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplaces.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management.
- Must be a DOLE-accredited Safety Practitioner and/or Safety Consultant.
- Completion of the mandatory 40-Hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training.
- Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements and international HSE standards.
- Experience managing HSE requirements for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with OSHA, ISO standards, and local construction safety regulations.
- Membership in recognized HSE professional organizations is preferred.
- Willing to accept Project-based status
