Manulife Core Engineering and Transformation is seeking a self-motivated Associate Front-end Engineer -Adobe Experience Manager, who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and excited to see the successful implementation of the products they deliver. They will have experience in designing, developing, testing, maintaining and improving application APIs as a member of a team, works across key data, orchestration, rules and transactional stacks through the entire application and system development life cycle.

We are looking for someone with:  

  • Willing to Learn Adobe Experience Manager Development
  • Translates strategic design into controls, mechanisms, and processes that users require to meet goals
  • Designs screens or pages with which a user interacts and ensure UI visually communicates the path that a UX designer has laid out
  • Develops choices around design and user interfaces that allow cross-discipline teams to solve customer pain points and challenges
  • Concepts and implements the visual product language; create and advance site-wide style guides
  • Constructs quick interactive prototypes that illustrate your UI design: functional with modern effects, animations, and transitions as appropriate, that present a realistic feel of the intended experience
  • Presents prototypes to a large audience and key stakeholders of Product as and when required
  • Participates in visual problem-solving with the product team, relevant stakeholders within the Product team
  • Collaborates with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
  • Conceptualizes original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Creates wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas


Technical Requirements:

  • Familiar with Object-Oriented Programming Concept 
  • Familiar with technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Basic Knowledge in Front-end Framework like Angular
  • Aptitude to write clean commented, and optimized code
  • Basic Knowledge of UI Design tools like Sketch and Figma
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively; knowledge in creating prototypes
  • Familiarity with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features
  • Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods
  • Constantly learns from both success and failure
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
  • Good verbal and written communication; effectively articulates technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
  • Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next

On the job you will:  

  • Work closely with software engineers to establish best practices for development, testing and delivery
  • Work closely with other teams to drive innovative solutions to meet business needs
  • Collaborate closely Product Owners and other stakeholders in an Agile environment
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies
  • Prototype to gain customer insights 
  • Proof of Technology to innovate and incorporate new technology
  • Have opportunities to mentor co-op students
