Job Description
Responsible for driving the profitable and sustainable growth of the personal loans portfolio by delivering high-quality, client-centric products and services. This includes strategic oversight of business planning, sales, marketing, product development, and partnership management. The role ensures strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enabling innovative solutions and consistent asset book growth aligned with client expectations and business objectives.- Grow the asset book portfolio as per budget.
- Formulate strategy on how to grow the lending portfolio profitably and prudently.
- Monitor and review credit capacities for the consumer assets portfolio to ensure NIACC target views and Vintages are met to ensure overall profitability of the book.
- Periodically monitor and review performance of the consumer asset portfolio to ensure adherence withing approved country risk appetite statement.
- Ensure that the asset portfolio is managed within country risk appetite parameters including defaults, NPLs and arrears.
- Coordinate design of consumer lending products and solutions whilst ensuring relevance to customer needs in the chosen customer segments to complement overall business unit strategy.
- Drive pricing strategy to ensure target NIACC hurdles are met.
- Ensure customer retention through top-up loans and cross sell opportunities.
- Employ and leverage credit analytics/CVM to identify good risk customers for business development.
- Monitor and review behavioural lending score card to ensure to grow sustainable quality portfolio.
- Prepare business cases for potential schemes and present these to key decision makers in the bank to obtain input and approval.
- Design process flow and procedures for scheme applications to ensure operational efficiency and legal and audit compliance.
- Support Branch Managers in analysing and identifying business improvement opportunities.
- Assisting institutions with processes and procedures that need to be adhered to realise joint efforts and thereby increase business.
- Supervise the integrity of systems related to loans schemes administration to ensure accurate information and effective customer service.
- Maintain relationship with all key stakeholders to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively manage recoveries and collection of all lending products by engaging with payroll administrators of each scheme company monthly.
- Manage scheme loan invoicing and recoveries to ensure collections on all monthly loan repayments.
- Conduct Annual Reviews of all Schemes.
- Set performance targets per product and product contribution to the portfolio.
- Conduct training for customer facing Staff e.g., product knowledge, sales complaint management process, operations, controls etc.
- Effective Implementation and executing of planned projects for the business e.g. improving customer experience, system efficiencies, process reviews etc.
