Casual Training Advisor for Apprenticeship Programmes

Department: Work Based Learning

Employment Type: Zero Hours

Location: Pibwrlwyd Campus

Reporting To: Head of Work Based Learning

Compensation: £20.57 / hour



Description

The college works in partnership as part of the B-wbl consortium for which Pembrokeshire College is the lead.

This is an exciting role designed to support the ongoing delivery of apprenticeship programmes across the business. You will provide support by ensuring that the quality of programmes meets the required standards both internally and externally to provide the very best experience and service to our learners.

You will be expected to engage with all stakeholders to ensure excellent relationships are both maintained and grown.


Key Responsibilities

  • To work closely with employers in the recruitment of apprentices
  • To ensure that all key stakeholders are fully engaged and receive the appropriate communications so that apprentices successfully complete their apprenticeship frameworks
  • To work in collaboration ensuring all apprenticeship programme KPIs are met
  • To work with an allocated case load of up to a minimum of 55 and a maximum of 60 apprentices.



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Welsh Language Requirements:
  • Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 0/1
  • Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 0/1

Essential Criteria:
  • Level 3 or higher qualification
  • GCSE English and Mathematics at minimum Grade C or O Level equivalent 
  • Competence in the use of a range of IT Systems and packages, including Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, Bespoke packages and cloud-based applications
  • Good communicator with diplomacy and tact
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines 
  • Good presentational skills 
  • Ability to travel to campuses and locations across Wales 
Desirable Criteria:
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • First Aid at Work
  • Evidence of CPD that demonstrates engagement in  activities to maintain up to date knowledge and skills of industry practices, products and equipment.
