Senior Sukuk Investment Manager

We are hiring for Senior Sukuk Investment Manager to join RHB Islamic International Asset Management (RHBIIAM). In this role, you will be responsible for managing significant Ringgit and non-Ringgit Sukuk portfolios, driving investment performance, and delivering superior risk-adjusted returns in line with clients' mandates and benchmark objectives. You will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer, provide strategic investment insights, lead portfolio management initiatives, support business growth, and mentor junior investment professionals while maintaining strong relationships with institutional and retail clients.

What you will be doing

• Manage and oversee Ringgit and non-Ringgit Sukuk portfolios across multiple client mandates and funds

• Drive overall Sukuk portfolio performance with a commitment to outperform benchmarks and maintain competitive market positioning relative to peers

• Formulate and implement effective Sukuk investment strategies, including asset allocation, duration positioning, security selection, and portfolio construction

• Consistently achieve targeted returns and ROI objectives while ensuring full compliance with investment guidelines and mandates

• Maintain top quartile performance for retail funds to support business growth and investor confidence

• Lead and coach the fixed income investment team to ensure objectives, targets, and service standards are achieved

• Engage actively with clients through regular meetings, presentations, and performance reviews to strengthen relationships and deliver exceptional service

• Provide market insights, economic outlooks, and portfolio performance updates to clients and stakeholders

• Advise regional Sukuk investment teams on portfolio management, foreign exchange, and currency hedging strategies

• Prepare and present investment proposals and reports for Investment Committee meetings

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual fund manager reports

• Develop business proposals for prospective client mandates and support new product launches, roadshows, and business development initiatives

• Contribute to new projects and product development initiatives across the asset management business

• Provide guidance, supervision, and training to junior investment professionals

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline

• Holder of a Capital Markets Services Representative's License (CMSRL) for Fund Management

• Extensive experience in Sukuk investment management, fixed income portfolio management, or asset management

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in both Ringgit and non-Ringgit Sukuk markets

• Proven expertise in asset allocation, portfolio construction, and investment strategy formulation

• Strong understanding of economic fundamentals, financial markets, and investment trends

• Ability to generate investment ideas and identify market opportunities

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and investment data

• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop team members

• Excellent report writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and financial information platforms such as Bloomberg and Reuters

• Dynamic, proactive, and results-oriented mindset

• Willingness and ability to travel as required
