This is a home‑based role with travel you will ideally be based around the Leeds area with the freedom to manage your own workload while being part of a supportive, expert team.
What will your day look like:
You’ll be the technical lead on our more complex domestic and commercial subsidence claims, providing expert guidance to colleagues and clients. Your work will include:
Managing complex subsidence investigations from first visit to final resolution
Visiting damaged properties to assess structural, technical and insurance‑related issues
Designing and overseeing stabilisation schemes and repair strategies
Producing high‑quality technical reports, specifications and tender documents
Interpreting geotechnical investigations and advising on foundation solutions
Administering building contracts, valuations and variations
Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Planning, CDM and Party Wall legislation
Working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and local authorities
Supporting and mentoring colleagues, and contributing to training delivery
Maintaining accurate case records and meeting service level expectations
You’ll also play a key role in strengthening client relationships and supporting other Davies divisions when needed.

Knowledge and Abilities:
We’re looking for someone with the technical depth and confidence to handle highly complex subsidence cases. You’ll ideally have:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline
Strong experience in subsidence investigation and building pathology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work independently
A flexible mindset and the resilience to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Solid understanding of buildings insurance, contract administration and construction law
A full, clean UK driving licence
Enthusiasm, professionalism and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service are essential.
