What You'll Do
As a Commercial Construction Project Manager, you'll oversee multiple commercial construction projects while partnering closely with field leadership, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively managing critical path activities
- Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with contract documents
- Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements
- Monitor project budgets, forecasting, job costs, and financial performance throughout each project
- Lead owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor coordination meetings
- Build strong working relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and field personnel
- Coordinate project logistics, procurement, and scheduling to keep projects moving efficiently
- Oversee project quality control, commissioning activities, punch lists, as-built drawings, and closeout documentation
- Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to ensure smooth project transitions
- Ensure OSHA safety standards and company safety expectations are consistently met
- Visit active job sites regularly to support field teams and maintain project progress
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and job cost management
- Experience preparing RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and subcontracts
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with industry-standard construction management software, including:
- Procore
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Project
- Microsoft Office Suite
- PlanGrid
- CMiC
- Primavera P6
- BIM platforms
Knowledge of:
- Commercial MEP systems
- Building commissioning
- Quality control processes
- Construction documentation and closeout procedures

Work Environment
This is an office-based position in Charlotte with regular travel to active project sites throughout the region. Project Managers are expected to maintain a visible presence both in the office and on their job sites. While flexibility is offered when needed, this is not a remote position.
