We are looking for a commercially strong Excess Manager to lead and develop our APAC Excess team.

As an Excess Manager, you will own team execution, account allocation, KPI discipline, coaching, escalation management and cross-functional alignment with Sales, BD, Finance, Logistics and Quality. This role is responsible for turning the APAC Excess strategy into measurable account coverage, opportunity creation and GP performance.

Our goal is to build a sophisticated team equipped with expert technical skills, strong commercial judgement and keen business acumen. Each member of the team adds value to the business, the customer and the wider supply chain.

Insight on your impact:

  • Lead the APAC Excess team and execute regional excess strategy, goals and operating rhythm.
  • Allocate accounts based on region, relationship history, account tier, buyer capability and growth potential.
  • Manage team KPIs, including GP, account activation, excess lists received, proactive offers, CRM accuracy and training completion.
  • Review active producing, active non-producing, inactive and prospect accounts to ensure account coverage and development discipline.
  • Coach and develop Junior Excess Buyers, Excess Buyers and Senior Excess Buyers, including promotion readiness and succession planning.
  • Resolve escalations, account ownership conflicts, Sales interaction issues and cross-functional blockers.
  • Coordinate with Sales and BD to ensure Excess supports Sales without disrupting Sales ownership or customer relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with CRM rules, vendor qualification requirements, quality controls, risk review and approval frameworks.

Your qualifications, your influence:
To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills:

  • Proven experience in electronic component distribution, excess inventory, procurement, sourcing, sales operations or related supply chain leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people, coach commercial teams and drive performance through structured KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, OEM/EMS/ODM/OCM account structures, excess lists, pricing, negotiation and supply chain risk.
  • Ability to manage account allocation, escalation handling, Sales alignment and cross-functional execution.
  • Strong reporting, communication and stakeholder management skills with senior leadership, Sales and operational teams.
  • Strong CRM discipline and ability to enforce consistent process standards across the team.
  • Commercial judgement to balance GP growth, customer relationship quality, risk control and long-term team development.

Preferred skills and technical familiarity:
Adding additional insight, practical experience and a growth mindset will elevate your contribution in this role:

  • Experience managing regional or multi-country teams in electronic components, independent distribution, EMS/OEM supply chain or procurement.
  • Experience building training structures, promotion paths, succession plans and performance review cadences.
  • Experience with strategic account reviews, supplier/customer visits, QBRs and executive reporting.
  • Knowledge of quality/compliance topics such as traceability, COC, vendor qualification, suspect cases and return processes.
  • Ability to work across APAC cultures, languages, time zones and commercial practices.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate board/CPO priorities into daily execution and measurable results.
