ACCIONA is delivering the design and construction of two new land-backed wharves at Lumsden Point in Port Hedland, Western Australia, for Pilbara Ports. The project will support the export of critical minerals such as lithium and copper concentrate, and the import of renewable energy infrastructure including wind turbine components, marking a major step in the region's economic growth.
About Opportunity
Based at our Northbridge corporate office with ad hoc travel to the Lumsden Point site, you'll report to the Construction Manager and take ownership of engineering coordination across a technically complex marine and civil build. You'll manage design coordination and temporary works, working closely with structural and marine engineers to ensure safe, compliant delivery. You'll also mentor junior engineers and keep cost, time and quality reporting on track throughout construction.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Coordinate temporary works design, review and approval
- Manage structural and civil design interfaces with contractors
- Plan and control project schedules along the critical path
- Lead technical method statements and construction methodology
- Oversee digital engineering tools for site coordination
- Mentor and develop junior engineers on site
- Track cost, time, scope and quality against project plans
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Strong background in temporary works and structures
- Experience managing design on complex civil projects
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Intermediate MS Office and digital engineering tools
