The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Print Management Services Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep technical expertise in enterprise print infrastructure, managed print services, and global print operations. This role requires hands-on experience managing enterprise print environments and serving as the technical authority for print hardware, print servers, print management platforms, and secure print solutions across global locations. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise print services while ensuring high availability, security, operational efficiency, and an exceptional ed user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the global technical authority for enterprise print management services, including multifunction printers (MFPs), Cloud print, off network printers, label printers, badge printers, and specialty printing devices.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex print hardware, print servers, drivers, spooler services, and print management applications.
Co-ordinating Print environment changes outside the US.
Support global IT teams with a specific focus on international locations and regional print service requirements.
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise print infrastructure aligned with business, security, and compliance standards.
Lead global print hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, provisioning, deployment, relocation, maintenance, refresh, and retirement.
Develop and maintain standardized global print device catalogs and print service standards.
Manage relationships with strategic print vendors and managed print service providers.
Support implementation and optimization of print management platforms such as HP Secure Print, HP Advance, WebjetAdmin or similar enterprise solutions.
Ensure print security through secure print release, user authentication, encryption, auditing, and compliance with corporate security policies.
Monitor print infrastructure health, capacity, utilization, and service availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
Support cloud printing initiatives with Hybrid printing and other cloud print technologies.
Participate in global projects involving print modernization, print server consolidation, cloud migration, and process automation.
Identify opportunities to automate print provisioning, driver deployment, reporting, and operational workflows.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend print solutions that improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and service standards.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during major incidents and enterprise projects.
Maintain awareness of emerging print technologies, security trends, sustainability initiatives, and industry best practices.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, the organization requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution,
OR
High School diploma/GED with equivalent professional experience.
8+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience.
5+ years supporting enterprise print management services in large-scale environments.
Experience managing enterprise print infrastructure across multiple geographic regions.
Additional Qualifications That Could Help You Succeed Even Further
Strong experience administering Windows Print Server environments.
Experience with Microsoft Universal Print and cloud-based print services.
Expertise in printer deployment using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Group Policy, and PowerShell.
Experience supporting Enterprise HP, Zebra, and Home Office print devices.
Strong knowledge of printer drivers, print queues, TCP/IP printing, SNMP, IPP, SMB, and network printing protocols.
Experience with secure printing, authentication, follow-me printing, and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
Experience integrating print services with identity and access management solutions.
Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM, IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and CMDB.
Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments.
Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell or similar technologies.
Experience leading enterprise infrastructure projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills.
Scrum Master Certification, ITIL Foundation Certification, Microsoft certifications, or vendor-specific print certifications are preferred.
