This leadership role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical expertise, driving high-performance engineering teams while maintaining stringent reliability standards for Tier III/IV facilities. You'll serve as the key technical point of contact for clients, translating complex infrastructure challenges into actionable solutions that optimize uptime, capacity, and operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of mission-critical operations at JLL while leading initiatives in sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement across a dynamic regional portfolio.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead regional critical environment engineering teams to deliver exceptional service quality across data centers and mission-critical facilities, ensuring alignment with operational standards and uptime requirements

  • Serve as technical escalation point and subject matter expert for clients, managing complex system issues, capacity planning, and strategic technical guidance while maintaining transparent communication during critical incidents

  • Oversee implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs for UPS systems, emergency generators, precision cooling, fire suppression, and building automation systems across multiple sites

  • Conduct quarterly site evaluations and systematic audits to verify compliance, redundancy configurations (N+1/2N), operational readiness, and effectiveness of maintenance protocols

  • Review and approve change requests through ServiceNow, ensuring rigorous change management protocols including Method of Procedures (MOPs), risk assessments, and Emergency-CAB approvals

  • Monitor key performance indicators including uptime metrics, MTBF, MTTR, PUE, and thermal performance, leveraging DCIM platforms and BMS systems for data-driven decision-making

  • Develop and mentor Chief Engineers and site teams through training programs, certification support (CDCP, CDCS), and knowledge-sharing initiatives focused on critical systems expertise

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field; or equivalent experience in critical environment operations

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in critical environment engineering operations, data center management, or mission-critical facilities management

  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing critical environment engineering teams in 24/7/365 operational environments with proven multi-site operations management

  • Experience in Tier III/IV mission-critical facility environments; data center operations experience strongly preferred with demonstrated uptime achievement

  • Comprehensive knowledge of critical building systems including UPS systems, emergency power generation, N+1/2N redundancy configurations, precision HVAC, electrical distribution (medium voltage, switchgear, PDUs), and fire suppression systems

  • Proficiency with CMMS systems (Corrigo preferred), DCIM platforms, change management tools (ServiceNow), and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Valid driver's license with ability to travel regularly within assigned region (up to 50-75%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

  • Professional certifications: Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS), Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), LEED AP, or CMRP

  • Experience with Wells Fargo or other financial services sector clients operating mission-critical infrastructure

  • Experience managing Tier III/IV data center operations with demonstrated track record of maintaining uptime commitments and sustainability initiatives in critical environments
