Summary:
The Project Manager, Vehicle Operations is responsible for coordinating and driving vehicle program activities across cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle. This role supports program execution by managing schedules, tracking deliverables, facilitating communication, driving issue resolution, and ensuring alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Support and manage vehicle development programs from concept through production and end-of-life activities.
- Develop and maintain program schedules, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on program objectives and execution plans.
- Track program risks, issues, and open actions, and drive timely resolution.
- Facilitate program reviews, status meetings, and readiness assessments.
- Support engineering change management and implementation activities.
- Maintain program documentation, metrics, and reporting to provide visibility to stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and operational efficiency across programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or a related engineering discipline), or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of project or program management experience within automotive, vehicle, or hardware development environments.
- Experience managing schedules, deliverables, risks, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing products through the hardware life cycle (concept, design, validation, production, end of life) and applying structured change management (ECR/ECO processes, PLM systems).
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive projects to completion in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of vehicle development milestones/processes, engineering change management, or product lifecycle management is a plus.
