We are seeking a proactive Revenue Cycle Authorizations Team Lead to join our dynamic Revenue Cycle team. Reporting directly to the Authorizations Director and/or Authorizations Manager, this position plays a critical leadership role by supporting Authorization Specialists, ensuring workflow efficiency, and upholding the integrity of the authorizations process.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Home Health or Hospice billing experience who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and has a passion for mentoring others while maintaining high operational standards.
Responsibilities:
Process authorizations tasks as assigned, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to Authorization Specialists under the direction of leadership.
Support onboarding, education, and continuous training of staff on correct authorization policies and procedures.
Assist with quality improvement initiatives related to the authorizations process.
Maintain accurate logs, rosters, and internal documentation as required.
Participate in team meetings and provide feedback to improve department performance and compliance.
About You
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of Home Health or Hospice billing experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead and support a team in a metrics-based environment.
Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
High attention to detail and ability to accurately enter and manage data.
Comfortable navigating multiple systems and working across various software platforms.
Familiarity with Homecare HomeBase software strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
