Human Resources Representative 2 or 3 - Benefits Administration

5x2, 4x3 9hr Shifts
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Sibanye-Stillwater is currently seeking a Human Resources Representative to support the Montana Operations for the US Region. This position is based in Columbus, MT but would require regular work at all the Montana operating sites as needed. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all functional areas of Human Resources, with a strong emphasis in benefits management. The successful candidate will continue to build, implement, and manage a leading and market-competitive benefits program. The successful candidate will have stewardship of the health and welfare benefits programs for the US Region.

- Promote and maintain a safe work environment, safe work practices, and a strong safety culture.
- Recognizes the importance of, and develops, strong working relationships within HR and operations leadership.
- Independently leads all activities related to the delivery of benefit programs for the US Region in line with that strategy including health, life, disability, and assists with other programs such as retirement.
- Ensures effectiveness of current benefits programs and recommends proposed designs that are in alignment with the organization's business strategy.
- Leads the effort to communicate the Company's benefits programs to employees and families to ensure programs are optimized.
- Ensures benefits programs comply with all regulatory compliance requirements for plan design, communications, filings, etc.
- Oversee and continually assesses services of outsourced benefits administration activities from consultants, brokers, third-party administrators, and other providers. Responsible for the negotiation of annual contracts and renewal activities.
- Works closely with Finance and other areas of the organization to determine the cost and enterprise impact of program changes.
- Prepares and manages the annual benefits budget.
- Represents the organization effectively to clients and external groups.
- Assists with all facets of Montana Operations HR as needed.
- Develops functional knowledge of collecting bargaining agreements and general business sense.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A strong point of view about benefits with key stakeholders - payers, patients, etc.
- Ability to recognize the perspectives of all participants and lead accordingly.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to successfully communicate with all levels of the workforce, including senior management.
- Thought leader, mentor, and coach for HR and business leaders on benefit challenges.
- Excellent program management skills and ability to engage multiple stakeholders from design to implementation.
- Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information is critical.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. with competing priorities in an interruptive environment required.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and/or 3 years related experience managing benefits programs.
- Background of finding creative solutions to complex business needs through collaboration, program design and administration.
- Proven success at building strong, credible advisory relationships at all levels of the organization
- Experience partnering with external partners and consultants to build strategies, methodologies, processes, tools, and communication.
- SHRM-SCP or HRCI certification preferred
- Experience in mining or heavy industry preferred
