Overview
Dental Care Alliance is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Patient Financing & Membership Programs to lead the organization's enterprise patient financing strategy and oversee the growth and optimization of the Smile Alliance Club membership program.
This leader will be responsible for developing and executing a scalable, data-driven strategy that improves patient access to care, increases treatment acceptance, enhances the patient experience, and drives revenue growth across DCA's national network of affiliated practices. The role will provide oversight of financing partnerships, membership plan strategy, vendor management, patient affordability solutions, reporting and analytics, operational execution, and cross-functional alignment.
The Director will partner closely with Revenue Cycle Management, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology, Clinical Leadership, and Learning & Development to ensure consistent enterprise execution.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Patient Financing Strategy
· Develop and execute DCA's enterprise patient financing roadmap.
· Establish and maintain a standardized financing framework across all supported practices.
· Evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic relationships with patient financing vendors.
· Optimize financing offerings to improve patient access while balancing program economics and profitability objectives.
· Drive increased treatment acceptance through affordability solutions and financing innovation.
· Lead financing-related policy development, governance, and compliance standards.
· Create enterprise reporting and analytics for treatment acceptance, application volume, approval and conversion rates, credit sales, net revenue impact, and vendor performance.
· Identify and remove friction from financing workflows to improve the patient and practice experience.
Smile Alliance Club Leadership
· Own the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of the Smile Alliance Club program.
· Lead vendor implementation and ongoing relationship management.
· Develop growth strategies to increase membership enrollment and retention.
· Partner with Marketing to create member acquisition, engagement, and renewal campaigns.
· Evaluate program pricing, benefits, performance, and market competitiveness.
· Ensure operational consistency across affiliated practices.
· Develop annual growth plans, enrollment targets, and profitability objectives.
· Establish dashboards to monitor program performance and member behavior.
· Lead future enhancements and expansion opportunities.
Strategic Vendor & Partnership Management
· Lead enterprise relationships with financing and membership program vendors.
· Conduct ongoing vendor performance reviews and business assessments.
· Negotiate favorable pricing, contractual terms, and service-level expectations.
· Identify emerging technologies and solutions that improve patient access and conversion.
· Develop business cases and recommendations for executive leadership review.
Revenue Growth & Patient Experience
· Partner with Operations and Clinical Leadership to improve treatment acceptance.
· Create scalable workflows and best practices for presenting financing and membership options to patients.
· Identify revenue leakage opportunities and implement corrective action plans.
· Champion a patient-centered approach that balances affordability, accessibility, and practice profitability.
· Establish KPIs and accountability measures tied to business outcomes.
Operational Excellence
· Standardize financing and membership workflows across the DCA platform.
· Collaborate with Technology teams to improve systems integration and reporting capabilities.
· Partner with Learning & Development to create training that strengthens financing conversations and membership enrollment effectiveness.
· Drive adoption of tools, processes, and reporting standards across the organization.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
· Experience in healthcare, dental, consumer finance, membership programs, or revenue cycle operations, including leadership responsibility.
· Demonstrated success leading enterprise programs and strategic initiatives.
· Experience managing vendor partnerships and contract negotiations.
· Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into action.
· Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
Preferred
· Experience within a Dental Support Organization, healthcare services organization, financial services, or patient financing environment.
· Experience leading membership, subscription or loyalty programs.
· Knowledge of treatment acceptance strategies and patient affordability solutions.
