The Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is seeking a people manager to lead a technical, agile team that supports our access management services during a pivotal transformation period. This role offers a unique chance to shape technical skillsets and cultivate a high-performing team culture in an organization that's modernizing its security infrastructure. The IAM function is evolving. As we migrate to cloud and new Colo data centers, as well as implement zero-trust architecture, we need a leader who can demonstrate technical vision, partner with product and agile professionals, and support people development.  This role is part of the Information Security & Policy portfolio within System IT.

  • Leads and develops staff to drive progress toward key outcomes, ensuring goals and priorities align with the organization's mission and strategic direction.

Business Breadth/Depth:

Leverages business knowledge to optimize resource allocation, operational efficiency, and workforce planning within the business line.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires at least 6 years in a formal leadership role or relevant informal leadership experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or work experience. 
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Strong risk assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Agile mindset and experience operating within a kanban or scrum team preferred
  • Understanding or experience with IAM platforms preferred
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (NIST, SOC 2, etc.) preferred

How We Work:

  • The selected candidate will reside within a reasonable commuting distance, as defined by the employing Reserve Bank, and will work full-time onsite.

Salary:

  • $114,300-$162,800 / Manager Level
  • $136,600-$194,500 / Senior Manager Level
  • The listed salary is applicable to Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Final offers are determined by factors including the candidate’s qualifications, internal alignment considerations, district assignment, and geographic location.   

Citizenship Requirements: United States citizenship or lawful permanent resident alien status, with at least three (3) or more years of United States residency from the date of legal entry to the United States is required for this position.

Screening Requirements: This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and could take up to a couple of months to complete. You can begin work before the screening is completed; however, continued employment is contingent on acceptable screening results. The areas screened may include education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reference checks.
