SUMMARY
The Project Manager III supports the Senior Program Manager in overseeing, planning and coordinating all aspects of the full life cycle of the customer's task in support of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA (FM&C)). Helps to ensure that all project goals and deliverables are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe, budgetary parameters and to the customer's satisfaction. Works closely with the Senior Program Manager to provide cohesive team leadership and maintains positive working relationships with the customer and key stakeholders at the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) level.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship.
- Must be able to maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
- Skilled in using project management tools for planning, scheduling, tracking activities, managing resources and reporting.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal), active listening, conflict resolution, negotiation, and the ability to build strong working relationships with the team, stakeholders, and clients.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support the Senior Program Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring project activities.
- Review project plans to determine timelines, staffing needs, and resource allocation.
- Assist in preparing contract deliverables, project schedules, and project documentation.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for ASA FM&C clients and government CORs.
- Develop senior‑level briefings, status updates, and other client-facing materials.
- Coordinate internal meetings, prepare materials, and track action items.
- Support oversight of contract staff, including hiring, onboarding, and off‑boarding.
- Ensure staffing aligns with project scope and deliverables.
- Help implement project management best practices, tools, and methodologies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years relevant project management experience in federal government contracting, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
