Regional Auditor: Safety, Quality, Security & Environment (SQSE)
Location of role: Homebased + travel 75% of the time (UK, EU & Global as necessary)

Role Context
The role is critical in the evaluation of suppliers and/or manufacturing sites, to supply pladis with a material or product, that is food safe, legal of the right quality and produced on a site that meets the pladis standards of Safety and Quality.
The role holder identifies and advises on compliance and actions required to ensure SQSE standards are maintained within the Supply Chain and alerts the business on any risks.
The role holder also provides support on the implementation of regional policies, procedures, standards & systems.
Clean driving license
This role requires travel up to 75% of the time (UK, EU & Global as necessary)

Key accountabilities & deliverables:
- Supports the implementation of the regional Quality & Food Safety strategic plan.
- Conducts audits and carries out assessment of suppliers, service providers and internal sites to a prescribed schedule and in line with business requirements.
- Works towards integration, standardisation and alignment to deliver consistent standards of quality + food safety across/for pladis.
- Audits effective implementation of regional procedures and standards.
- Evaluates relevant materials and suppliers risks and highlights areas of concern where pladis may be implicated or affected.
- Governance and verification of the effectiveness of SQSE Management Systems.
- Reviews completion of closeout of issues raised and the commitment to maintain beneficial business relationships.
- Communicates and drives action relating to poor audit performance with other functions including procurement, R&D and sites teams.
- Maintains a high level of industry knowledge and awareness through external benchmarking, networking and horizon scanning.
- Develops and maintains a high level of expertise in raw materials (ingredients & packaging) and shares this with colleagues and other functions as appropriate.
- Provides CIM (Crisis Incident Management) and supplier performance issues (including vendor non-conformance governance) support & reporting as required.
- Any other relevant duties as required by the business.
Skills & Experience Required:
Detailed knowledge in quality and food safety disciplines, specifically:
1.Q&FS Management Systems (inc. HACCP)
2.Material Functionality
3. Q&FS 3rd party certification standards
4. Auditing experience
Confident with use of IT systems & software.
English language - fluent written and spoken
Qualifications Required
5+ years of experience in a technical role in the Food Manufacturing sector
Formal auditing qualification
HACCP (Level 4)
Food Safety (Level 4)
Formal auditing qualification (GFSI Lead Auditor)
Scientific degree or equivalent
Internationally recognised H&S qualification (such as IOSH/NEBOSH)
