Raytheon's Naval Power Strategic Business Unit is hiring a Manager, Contracts within it's Naval Air Missiles Sub-Strategic Business Unit. The selected candidate will be the primary contracts lead within the AIM-9X & JSOW portfolio serving the US Navy and international partners. In this role you will be responsible for front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, change management, and ensuring contract requirements are fulfilled in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Additionally, you will also work diligently to develop and maintain strong relationships with the US Navy customer and internal program team, serving as a trusted business partner in proactively recognizing business and contractual challenges in program performance, and proactively developing, implementing, and executing creative contracting solutions.

This position is located in Tucson, AZ and is offering relocation assistance.

What You Will Do

• Analyze and interpret Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Lead proposal preparation, negotiation strategy, and balanced business deal execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationship with the US Navy customer to serve as the primary contractual interface and influence business outcomes.
• Provide guidance to program team regarding contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation throughout execution of the contract lifecycle.
• Ensure and enable compliance with FAR/DFARS and company policies and procedures.
• Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues using sound business judgement as a business partner to the program team.
• Draft and deliver complex communications, both written and verbal.
• Review Estimates at Completion (EACs) and other financial/contractual metrics.
• Readily adapt in a dynamic environment while exercising sound business judgement.

Qualifications You Must Have

• University degree (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree plus 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with US Government contracts life-cycle

• Experience interfacing with external customers for proposals, negotiations, and/or contract execution
• Strong contracts management and FAR/DFARS experience
• Experience working within a team and demonstrated ability to advance business outcomes in a dynamic environment
• Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated business judgement

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
