The Role
Are you a commercially minded professional who thrives on turning market insights into business value? Do you enjoy building strong relationships, solving complex challenges and helping teams make confident, data-driven decisions?
We're seeking a Commodity & Risk Manager to play a pivotal role in managing commodity exposure, supporting ingredient procurement and sales strategy and driving sustainable business performance. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with stakeholders across the business, influence strategic decisions and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement commodity risk management strategies to manage price volatility including the use of derivative products to secure operating margins, and support business objectives across key commodity categories
Monitor commodity and financial markets, providing timely insights, forecasts and recommendations to support commercial decision-making
Build trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external market participants to optimise sourcing, contracting and risk mitigation activities
Lead portfolio analysis and reporting, delivering clear, actionable insights on market trends, exposures, performance and opportunities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across commodity planning, supply chain optimisation and risk governance processes
About you
Proven experience in commodity trading, commodity management, procurement, risk management or a related commercial role
Strong understanding of commodity markets, risk management principles and financial market dynamics
Demonstrated capability in data analysis, forecasting and translating complex information into practical business recommendations
Experience working across supply chain, logistics or commercial operations, with a collaborative and stakeholder-focused approach
Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation
