Role Overview:
Quantiphi is seeking an experienced Technical Architect – Cloud & DevOps to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of cloud-native healthcare platforms. This role combines expertise in cloud architecture, DevOps, modern application development, and healthcare interoperability to build secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise solutions.
Working closely with Product, Data, AI/ML, Security, and Engineering teams, you will define application architecture, establish engineering best practices, and drive automation across the software delivery lifecycle. You will champion Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud security, observability, and modern application design while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7, and DICOM.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep AWS expertise, strong software engineering fundamentals, and experience leading distributed engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture and technical design of cloud-native enterprise applications deployed on AWS.
Define scalable, secure, and highly available application architectures using microservices and event-driven design patterns.
Partner with Cloud, Data, AI/ML, and Product Architects to deliver integrated healthcare solutions.
Design and implement reusable APIs, service contracts, and integration frameworks using REST, GraphQL, and asynchronous messaging technologies.
Establish CI/CD pipelines that automate build, testing, security validation, and deployment across multiple environments.
Architect and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
Drive DevSecOps best practices by embedding automated security scanning, compliance validation, and governance into the software delivery lifecycle.
Define monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability strategies to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.
Ensure cloud environments comply with healthcare security and privacy standards, including GDPR and HIPAA.
Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, and mentorship to engineering teams while promoting engineering best practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Review architecture, code, and infrastructure designs to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and scalability.
Basic Qualifications:
Cloud & Architecture
8+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise cloud solutions.
Expert knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, Fargate, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, S3, and RDS.
Strong experience designing microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
Experience building highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud platforms.
DevOps & Infrastructure
Deep experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
Expertise with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Advanced knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS preferred).
Experience implementing monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
Experience integrating automated security tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, Veracode, or similar SAST/DAST solutions.
Software Engineering
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Experience developing modern React.js applications.
Knowledge of Node.js is considered an asset.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and event-driven integrations using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS messaging services.
Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
Security
Strong understanding of AWS IAM, RBAC, least-privilege principles, and cloud security best practices.
Experience implementing secure API design, encryption, secrets management, network segmentation, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
Experience using AWS Secrets Manager or HashiCorp Vault.
Leadership
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
Experience delivering complex enterprise software projects within Agile environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
Other Qualifications (OQs):
Experience with healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7, and DICOM.
Knowledge of healthcare compliance frameworks including HIPAA and GDPR.
Experience integrating AI or machine learning workloads into production environments.
Familiarity with MLOps practices and Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
Experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience implementing FinOps strategies and cloud cost optimization.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification preferred.
