Description

About the team

The Senior Benefits Analyst will be an integral operational partner to the U.S.-based Benefits Team. Based in India, this role supports the accurate, compliant, and efficient delivery of our benefits programs — from day-to-day administration and employee support to data integrity, compliance, and reporting.
You will also partner closely with the Benefits Program Managers to support benefits administration across our locations- U.S, Mexico, India, Germany, Canada, and Serbia. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role within our GCC and an opportunity to grow deep expertise in global benefits operations.

Zillow Group is a strategic, mission-driven organization focused on delivering exceptional experiences and measurable outcomes. Our work spans cross-functional partnership, scalable programs and operational excellence in support of Zillow’s mission. We bring deep experience working across diverse teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive meaningful business impact. We are seeking an experienced professional to support our workforce expansion in India.

About the role

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs across health, welfare, retirement, and ancillary plans, ensuring accuracy and a positive employee experience.

  • Process enrollment transactions, qualifying life events, and employee data changes in the HRIS; partner with carriers and vendors to resolve discrepancies.

  • Serve as a Tier 3 resource for employee benefits inquiries, providing clear and timely guidance on plan provisions, eligibility, and enrollment processes.

  • Assist with benefits billing processes, including data validation and submission support; U.S. team retains payment authorization.

  •  Partner with the Global Benefits Program Manager to support international benefits administration across multiple countries, including enrollment coordination, billing reconciliation, and carrier data management.

  • Support routine plan administration tasks for international programs, including data pulls, eligibility tracking, and audit support.

Compliance & Audit

  •  Support the preparation and coordination of recurring U.S. benefits compliance obligations, including annual filings, regulatory reporting, and plan documentation.

  • Execute a portfolio of recurring data audits across benefit programs to ensure enrollment accuracy, eligibility integrity, and data quality.

  • Prepare audit documentation, organize supporting materials, and manage audit checklists; escalate findings and flag discrepancies to the U.S. team for resolution.

  • Monitor ongoing compliance obligations and proactively surface issues to the appropriate U.S. owner.

This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation subject to applicable laws and relevant Zillow policies. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Detail-oriented and process-driven. You take ownership of complex, multi-step processes and execute them with precision and consistency.

  •  Proactive and accountable. You identify issues before they become problems, escalate clearly with documented findings, and follow through to resolution.

  • Collaborative. You work seamlessly across time zones, building trust with U.S. counterparts through reliable communication and dependable follow-through.

  • Analytically minded. You’re comfortable working with data across HRIS and vendor platforms — pulling reports, spotting anomalies, and organizing findings clearly.

  •  Effective in Cloud HQ. You thrive in a remote, asynchronous environment, communicate clearly in writing, and build trust without in-person presence.

  • Curious about the ‘why’. You want to understand the context behind the work, not just complete tasks — and you ask questions when something doesn’t add up.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR operations, or a related field

  • Experience administering health, welfare, and/or retirement benefit programs

  •  Familiarity with benefits compliance concepts and regulatory obligations is a strong plus

  •  Experience supporting global or international benefits programs preferred

  •  Proficiency with Workday or a comparable HRIS; comfortable running reports and processing benefit transactions

  •  Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for data reconciliation and reporting

  •  Excellent written communication skills in English; able to communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and global counterparts

  •  Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment
